Matthew McDonald is a 15 year old, active young man, who loves all types of sports; but his passion is Hockey. He is a big brother to his younger sister Madison, and his baby brother Mark.
After one of his practices in May of 2011, Matthew was not feeling well, he then went to Port Huron Hospital for x-rays, and then sent to Detroit Children's hospital, were he was diagnosed with a Brain Stem tumor called anaplastic astrocytoma III to the brain stem. He was immediately taken to St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee where he went through a series of treatments.
Matthew was doing better, he finished living his incredible life by doing the things he always wanted to do, and hung out with his friends while doing these things. His big dream was to travel to Florida and go deep-sea fishing and catch a shark from the ocean. After the initial treatments in Tennessee Matthew moved to Florida and went deep-sea fishing. He also has been fishing off the piers, catching large fish.
Among many of the things Matthew had the time of his life by going to Disney World, Deep Sea-Fishing, Joined the Blues Crew paintball team, and much, much more. With all the love from his home town of Port Huron, MI and all his family and friends that stood by his side until the end.
100% of donations will be donated to Saint Judes Children's Hospital to help others in need. As an appreciation for any donations, we will enter your name on our sponsors page. Donations will be sent as the Matthew McDonald Fund as a remembrance of the incredible fight Matthew endured.
