Rest In Peace Matthew Alan McDonald II February 16, 1996 ~ January 10, 2012

     On February 16, 1996, God blessed Mathew Alan Sr. and Keri Jo McDonald with their first born, Matthew Alan McDonald II. On January 10, 2012 God called Matthew home to his eternal resting place after a courageous battle with cancer of the brain. Matthew touched everyone who knew him. Whether he was playing a game of hockey as the greatest goalie, playing paintball with his professional team, helping a young man fishing on the pier, protecting his sister and little brother or being the best son for his parents, his actions were always kind and compassionate. He was a natural born athlete who always had everyone cheering in his corner. He played many years of hockey, had many friends, and was regarded as one of the best hockey goalies in Michigan.

     Matthew is survived by his loving parents, Mathew Alan Sr. and Keri Jo McDonald, his sister Madison Marie, and little brother Mark Daniel; grandparents Mark and Julia McDonald, JoAnn and John Tatro, Daniel and Jeanne Collins; great grandmothers Gwen McDonald, Clara Collins, and Helen Hebner; immediate aunts, and uncles, Mark and Jenny McDonald and cousins Nathan, Josiah, Trinity, and Faith; Macy and Kristina McDonald and cousins Michael, Ethan, Mara, and Lianna; Daniel and Elsie Collins and cousins Tycho and Elizabeth. Also surviving are many loving and caring aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Matthew had many great and wonderful times with his extended family and all shared a special relationship with him.
